Friendster, the No. 1 social networking site in Asia, recently made its debut in Thailand aiming to tap into the growing popularity of social networking with the hope of attracting one to two million active users over the next year.

Although a newcomer to Thailand, Friendster was leading social networking site in Asia and in the top 10 global web sites based on traffic. It had 85 million registered users and 61 million monthly unique users globally, according to Friendster marketing and PR director Jeff Roberto.

Apple has launched a new design for iPod nano

Apple has launched a new design for iPod nano player. The technological characteristics are similar to previous model, but focuses all its innovation in design.

The player contains LCD 2 “, resolution of 320 x 240px and image viewer. It also has audio and video player, accelerometer, and 8 or 16GB capacity.

The Japanese watch importer Tokyoflash has today announced some new stylish unisex analog timepieces in their popular Nekura series.

There are five new models. All designs feature a custom engraved, self-adjustable wristband seamlessly engineered from brushed stainless steel, a slimline polished silver case, are finished with a neatly designed clasp and are available with a black or clear strap.

As Apple Inc. rolled out its newest iPhone on Friday, dealers and buyers were anticipating the popular device in Asia’s thriving underground marketplace in as little as a few days.

The iPhones are nothing new to Asia, where enthusiasts from Bangkok to Shanghai already sport fake and unlocked versions of last year’s models — unlocked so they can work with any carrier, not just the Apple-authorized ones.

Now, electronics markets are preparing for an influx of iPhones capable of 3G, or third-generation, cell phone technology.

In the Chinese territory, ads pitching unlocked iPhones and services to unlock them were everywhere in a shopping mall with three floors of cell-phone stores.

Shop owner Chris Lau said he’s already taken orders for the new iPhone from 40 people and estimated its arrival on the gray market in about a week.

Gillian Chung (born January 21, 1981) is a Hong Kong-based actress and singer. She is best known as a member of the Cantopop girl group Twins, alongside Charlene Choi. In 2000, one of the model agencies that Chung worked for as part-time while in HK contacted Chung about a job opportunity offered by Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG). Chung accepted the offer in 2000 and became a contracted artist of EEG and started to undergo trainnings before debut. In 2001, the magagement company assigned her to form a singing duo, Twins, with Charlene Choi, whom she is not actually related, in 2001.
