Of course, it has been official since earlier this month that smoking will be banned in pubs, bars and night entertainment venues. Not only that, it is also banned in crowded ommunity places such as fresh market, Sunday market, and the market at Chatuchak park. Instead, in all of these places, an area will be designated for smokers to fire away. Violators will be fined 2,000 baht, and for the venue’s owner, 20,000 baht. Although the ban will not be effective until end of May, 24-7 highly recommends that all smokers out there begin to get use to fresh air that finally will not harm anyone.
